François Sarhan’s Analogy Fair is for two performer/percussionists and objects. The performers develop an increasingly antagonistic relationship to each other as they attempt to communicate a text about the potency of analogies. Using their bodies, voices, and actions, coupled with small percussion instruments, knives, and hammers, they begin with a disgruntled discourse which eventually devolves into a completely physical battle for each other’s mortality.
This performance is part of the annual Currents New Media Festival. Attendance to this performance is included with the festival pass. See the full festival lineup here.
